Taplytics Web App

Product Design

Overview

About The Project

Taplytics is a modern A/B testing, feature flagging, and marketing automation platform for product and marketing teams. I joined the company in early 2018 and from the get go, priority number one was a full scale redesign of the product while simultaneously developing new and unique features for a brand new customer who happened to be a Fortune 10 company. Needless to say, the first year and a half or so was very busy. I developed a new design language for the web app and was responsible for the strategy behind and design of brand new features and tools while also working to redesign existing parts of the product that needed both a facelift and a functional re-think. While I can’t talk about certain things I worked on (because of a privacy agreement we signed with the aforementioned Fortune 10 company), below is a small collection of some of the parts of the product that I worked on over the years.

Experiments

With Taplytics Experiments, users can run code-free A/B tests on their mobile apps and websites using our visual editors to easily test changes to things like buttons, copy, images, colours, and more in order to determine which variations yield the greatest engagement. They can also build code-based tests quickly by setting up a reusable code blocks & variables library and then launch tests without making app store updates.

Furthermore, our users can target specific audience groups by location, platform, activity, or other custom data and control which experiments are shown to which users and when (using timed rollouts). Goals can also be set to help track how experiments are impacting conversion rates and with the results we generate, a winning variation can be determined.

Journey Builder

Taplytics’ Journey Builder is an easy-to-use tool that allows our users to build engaging and optimized customer journeys. With its simple drag-and-drop interface users can design journeys that automatically engage, convert, and retain customers.

For example, here’s a simple onboarding and nurturing campaign, set up using the Journey Builder. It shows an audience that's been defined receiving a welcome email. Then, when that email has been delivered a 1-week delay is set at which point, using an A/B split node, one of two push notifications is sent to a specific percentage of users within the audience as defined in the A/B split node:

The Journey Builder makes it easy to design 1-1 experiences that use customer data to provide the right mix of products, offers, and messages across every channel.

Push Management

With Taplytics Push Notification Manager users can create unique and engaging push campaigns, schedule single or recurring deliveries, and set up multi-layered experiments that track the performance of different variations delivered to custom audience segments.

EQB Audience Builder

With Taplytics, users can build powerful audience segment templates that can be used throughout the platform to target specific individuals based on things like user ID, email address, country, platform, app version, device model, and so forth. And because they're template-able, audiences can be re-used very easily.
